You are invited to join other leaders in agriculture and food systems for a hemp-infused, locally-sourced meal to continue the discussion of Indiana's diverse agriculture potential. The goal is to take action to support one another while building a strong food system within our state, thereby creating great success for our economy and environment.

The evening will begin with a hemp centric dinner, followed by a line-up of speakers, and will conclude with social networking opportunity.

Speakers include:

  • Steve Carrell, Ponderosa Aqua Farm; Updating of progress with hemp pilot project
  • Roy Ballard, Purdue Extension Educator; Announcements re Small Farm Conference, Indiana Horticulture Congress, FoodLink, DFFS, SARE (grants and resources)
  • Kimmi Devaney, ISDA; Discussing the ISDA Agritourism Initiative
  • Justin Swanson, Vice President Bose Public Affairs Group; Summary of the federal Industrial Hemp Farming Act of 2017 (HR3530)
