The Kentucky Department of Agriculture will hold it's first-ever Industrial Hemp Pilot Program - Applicant Information and Networking Session for Growers & Processors - October 11, 2018

The 2019 Industrial Hemp Research Pilot Program applications will be released on October 1. Grower applications will be due on November 30. It is important that potential growers locate a buyer and processors enlist growers to supply their needs. This unique networking event is designed to allow grower applicants the opportunity to meet with processors and learn from university researchers. Hemp processors and university researchers will be provided space for a display in a "Trade Show" type set-up. Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture Ryan Quarles will open the session with an update on federal legislative activity, and additonal speakers will provide details about Kentucky's program, the application, and the hemp crop. This is not a mandatory meeting, but many applicants and license holders may find it helpful.

We ask that you RSVP to as the venue is limited to 350 guests. Further details will be released soon.
