On Thursday, September 10, the OIFHA will host an online hemp mini-conference to help educate and connect the hemp industry as the 2020 harvest season approaches.
From 1-2 PM, talks will run on a number of key pre-harvest topics. Attendees will receive updates on crucial USDA rulemaking and legislative shifts from our President Courtney N. Moran, LL.M. and Sunny Summers, Cannabis Policy Coordinator of the Oregon Department of Agriculture.
Following the policy talks, OIHFA member Matt Ochoa will focus on best practices to preserve harvest value. Avoiding costly mistakes that arise from taking ill-informed shortcuts and sharing logistics and resources will be features of his talk.
There will also be updates on the hemp shipping pilot program by UPS as well as new developments in banking for hemp.
The second hour will focus on networking. OIFHA members will be spotlighted first, then members and non-members alike will engage in a couple of rounds of facilitated “speed” networking aimed at connecting the community and helping build relationships.
The event is free to join. TICKET LINK: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/hempstory-vii-connections-for-a-successful-harvest-tickets-116953331563
