PROGRAM SUMMARY

After decades of prohibition, the U.S. hemp industries have been reborn.  Every day, more and more Americans adopt and come to rely on hemp-based products — for dietary supplements, food, fabric, construction and hundreds of other applications. With this growth only set to increase, the time is now for the hemp industries to establish and embrace standards, best practices and self-regulation.

The U.S. Hemp Authority™ Certification Program is the hemp industries’ initiative to provide high standards, best practices and self-regulation, giving confidence to consumers and law enforcement that hemp products are safe, quality assured and legal. In an effort funded by the U.S. Hemp Roundtable, and joined by organizations such as the Hemp Industries Association®, industry leading firms, top-tier testing laboratories, and quality assessors developed comprehensive guidance for hemp growers and processors, manufacturers and brand owners of hemp products. The U.S. Hemp Authority™ Certification Program was created and is administered by deeply experienced quality assurance and verification professionals who lead established food and agricultural industries.

Hemp growers, processors, and brand owners who comply with the U.S. Hemp Authority™ Certification Program, and are verified by a third-party audit, will be eligible for the licensed use the U.S. Hemp Authority™ “Certified” Seal in their advertising, marketing and product labeling. The “Certified” Seal gives consumers confidence that their products are safe and quality assured, while giving law enforcement assurance that the products are sourced from legal hemp.
