As a nonprofit public benefit corporation with members, the HIA exists to serve the interests of its members and the broader industrial hemp community. Typically we can rely on our marquee annual event, HIACON, to cover more than half of our operating costs. The cancellation of that event and the impact of the pandemic and economic crisis on our members means the organization has had to reduce expenses by more than 70% in order to survive. These reductions have hit at a moment when the needs of the hemp industry are incredibly pressing, and every bit of support we receive will help the HIA to do more to advance the hemp economy for the benefit of our members, the public, and the planet.
After 27 years of fighting for hemp, we need your help to keep up the fight.
