In 2017, Terry’s Health Products and owner Lonna Brooks became central to the fight for legal hemp cannabinoids when the DEA confiscated their products, triggering a lawsuit from the HIA and other hemp industry plaintiffs. The end result of was a negotiated settlement that saw Lonna’s products returned and the DEA’s acknowledgement that CBD is not under their authority, paving the way for today’s CBD industry to flourish.
